Driving Without Headlights V.C. 24250 - will my insurance go up?

Question: I got a ticket for driving without headlights on - the code is VC-24250-I. Will this ticket stay on my record and increase my insurance premiums? I am from California and got the ticket here in California.
And how much will my fine be?

It appears (now) to be a moving violation!
Original answer:
This is a non-moving violation, there are no points against your license, and it stays on your record for 7 years.
Expect a fine in the range of $120 - $140.

the officer had sited me for this violation and would not let me explaine that there is a lighting issue with my truck. some time the fuse go out with out me knowing.

Whomever answered this, thank you. Because of this I can sleep tonight knowing that my insurance isn't going to blast through the roof. I just got home after recieving the ticket, on my first day with my first car.

Why is this considered a non-moving violation? The violation is called 'DRIVING with no headlights.'

I just got pulled over for this same violation in Ventura County, CA. I was told by the officer that this IS a MOVING violation.

I am insurance agent and yes this is a moving violation which the insurance company will charge one point and it stays on your record for 3 yrs.
