A man calling himself Tim Lawn contacted me via Yahoo Personals. Said he was from Kansas, but currently working in England. Had 10 year old son named Mike. He wanted to come to Virginia where I live and I would become the mother to his son... Wrote me a poem, he claimed, but when I googled it, the poem showed up as written by someone else. He came online this morning and started ranting at me about calling him a scammer. I blocked him.

He uses timlaw225@yahoo.com. Can be very charming and persuasive.

A man named Martin claiming to be from Houston, TX contacted me on Yahoo Personals. He goes by funnymartin1958@yahoo.com. He used that old quote that every scammer seems to use at one time or other: 'We would be like two vases of water poured into one larger more beautiful vase, in which we would be one.'

That exact quote was in another man's profile on YP who had contacted me. When I googled it, I found out it is used in many scam emails. I immediately sent both men emails telling them I realized what they were doing. Martin contacted me on IM and got very angry and insulting. I blocked him. Smooth. Watch out.

All of you being scammed might consider customizing the following 'NOTICE' and send to your scammer friend as well as the various agencies you might feel appropriate. Most countries now require registration of cellphone numbers, so the scammers do not have total anonymity as they may think. I used this notice recently, and it did get the attention of the scammer who got really pissed; and threatened to have her high priest cousin in Haiti cast a powerful voodoo spell over me that would cause my balls to rot and fall off if I didn't stop the notice immediately. LOL ! So if you're not superstitous, give it a try and post your experiences which may help bring at least some resolution to others who have been scammed.
