I am responding to all the messages on here about the person in the photo I am going to attach. I have not been scammed...YET. But from what I am seeing he is a good one. I was told that he lives in Boston as a civil engineer. His ex wife and daughter Leslie live in Montreal Canada. He has told me that he will be retiring at an early age for he has worked all his life, he's 54. He goes by Marvin and the yahoo messenger/yahoo email is marvingravis2212. I am so glad that a friend of mine, her daughter showed me how to check out men online. He also has a photo with a blonde that he claims to be his sister. Good luck to everyone and remember, if they are a true soldier then they have money to eat, buy things....I have family members that have been in the military and they are fighting for our country so they are very well taken care of. But they do enjoy some of the comforts from home that they can't get.
Also, if you do send someone that you truly believe is in the military money, check the exchange rate...
Again, Good luck

I received the same scam, being prior military and my husband retiring from the military he sorta messed up from the beginning. His name on my scam was James Fischer, he sent me a picture of him in uniform telling me he was an E-6 in the army but in his picture he had E-8 on his uniform. he also had the name of James for his first name and on his uniform James was on it. last names go on uniform not first. if you can make them send you a picture of them in uniform its pretty easy to detect. He said he was in Kabul, Afghanistan. and his daughter was attending school in Ghana. He copied and pasted most of his responses and repeatedly told me how much he loved me. However when asking him questions he wouldn't answer them very often but when he did his English was pretty broken up. I played around for a little while just to annoy him by asking him very detailed messages, his english got worse and he was agitated when corrected on how to spell 'cos' I also thought it was very hysterical when I questioned him about the rank on his uniform. He didn't know the rank name and he certainly couldn't answer why he had his first name on his uniform. They may have the pictures but if you ask question they don't have the knowledge of the uniform or the standard miltiary practices down. He was also going to graduate from E-6 to E-9? I asked him how that worked and he got agitated with me again, basically in all caps asking me if I knew his job better than he did. I just simply stated no, I was just curious how you graduate in the military from E-6 to E-9? He came back with he was smart thats how.

i have spoken to this man who i was led to believe was Eric James (ericjames90@yahoo.com) we spoke everyday for last 2 months and as i was in a very vulnerable state i believed everything he told me including his undying love for me and the fact that he was retiring and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. there is no fool like an old fool, they say and i have truly been played. i am devastated at the moment but i know this will pass one day. i stupidly sent him a watch and a phone, which will now cost me £40 a month for next 2 years, which will serve as a good reminder to myself never to believe a thing a man says until i have either met him or really got to know him. i was staying in USA when he contacted me via Match, but i sent items from UK. i would just like to know if anyone else received a picture like this, looked on net and cant find one, this pic is hardest to erase from my brain and heart

i am the latest person i think to be scammed in this way by Mr James (ericjames90@yahoo.com) we spoke for over 2 months on IM and i was completely and utterly duped. i feel stupid, heartbroken and devastated. he said all the things i wanted to hear, after just coming out of a 30 year marriage this was indeed the last thing i needed, but i suppose they detected this, they are very clever. i even bought the cad a bloody iphone5 and wristwatch and sent to Ghana via his 'diplomat' also called Eric, not thinking anything of their lies and duplicity. i know this feeling will pass, i just have to let the tears flow, but it has taught me a wise lesson, so i suppose i am grateful for that, especially as i am now in the dating scene. i am posting this picture here because i believe this is the most heinous act they did, i just hope someone else sees it and can be aware of the scam and ensuing heartbreak if they ignore the advice here

Lies, lies and more lies... forget this bastard and move on as I have! Note his little 'sign deception' using another name on the same sign. You're dealing with a real piece of shit ...

I have had contact from James Walker, seems very sincere, very smooth and yes you fall in love with him very fast indeed. Said he was in Kabul and was retiring in 3months, had a son 14. Said how much he loved me and would care for me, I did say to him so he would know that I did not have money, and that seemed ok with him, he was going to take care of me, love me and make me happy, he is supposed to be 55. He is not the guy I see in the photos here though, when it told him I had googled his name etc, he was quite upset and said I had no trust in him and that was not good, I said to him he of all people should understand how careful you have to be on the internet. Ladies he is a very smooth talker, you have been warned. I was glad I looked more into his name and found this site. Thank you. I have a different photo and I will post it here, oh he is a fine man who ever the photo is really of. He never did ask me for money, but I wonder what his next plan was after I had said first, I don't have money?!
He also said to me when you looked on Google did you see any photos of me, and I must say I did not, that is why I am posting new one here in case any other woman is sent this particular photo. Again thank you for having this site here, let's hope more women become aware of this guy. Oh and if he had have asked for help to do with money alarm bells would have rang straight away and that would have been a no no no like he says, no no no!! The word Dear also.

He is back on the loose ladies ! as of December 2013 he is going under the name of Randy Peters. Met him on Plenty of Fish .. I have sent him nothing but he has sent me everything.2 dozen long stem roses, a dozen chocolate covered strawberries. I have now two iphones and a laptop computer that he had sent to me that I had to go pick up from UPS and is requesting me to mail them to Jamestown Ghana. He has requested nothing from me as far as money or sending him personal materials. But I will say that since I have his two Iphones and a lap top and it will cost me over 400$ to mail them to where he is . He isn't getting then until he wires me money. He keeps asking for a bank account and I told him I don't have one.

And yes he does avoid the normal questions I don't even know if he is a he or a she. .God Only knows.

I've received pictures of this man above as Thomas Peterson. He was about to come to my country to meet me in person, and something inside told me to investigate his given name, e-mail and phone number on the internet to find anything about him. For my surprise, I could seen he is a fake, a scammer. There are a lot of things about his action against women who he's got involved through the internet. I'm pleased I was clever enough to avoid myself getting in trouble.
Poor man is the one this scammer uses as his own picture. He should be in jail, that is what I think is his place, not on the internet trying to do victims over and over again.

Jacob Krol <jacob.krol8701@yahoo.com>; is using match.com to scam people. Not too clever, kept getting his story mixed up. Same military photo as above, says he's in Kabul. Thought he was rather whiney for a soldier!
